Cottonwood Shores Volunteer Fire Department Service Area
Cottonwood Shores Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1978 for service to the community of Cottonwood Shores. Today that area is 2.6 miles and services approximately 1600 persons of all ages and backgrounds.
The Cottonwood Shores Volunteer Fire Department is currently rated with an ISO of 5/8B for the City of Cottonwood Shores and its ETJ.
The community is located on Hwy 2147 between Marble Falls and Horseshoe Bay; we have access to Lake Marble Falls and Lake LBJ which is always a fun way to spend your time.
The Department is a 501C3 Non Profit organization that contracts with Burnet County to provide mutual aid to other fire departments in the county area. The department also contracts with the City of Cottonwood Shores to provide fire and emergency services assistance to its residents.
We work with Marble Falls Area Emergency Services to provide assistance in medical emergencies. We have recently been granted the county's first volunteer First Responder Organization status with the Texas Department of Health and Human Services.
We host community functions such as Easter at the Fire Hall, Halloween at the Fire Hall, and Christmas for Kids each year.
We participate in the Katy Rose Memorial Scholarship which awards a scholarship each year to a graduating senior that lives in Cottonwood Shores.
We promote fire education and prevention by offering assistance to the community to help test smoke detectors and to assist by providing educational pamphlets to guide in creating evacuation plans for the home in case of fire.
